Why schools love SEQTA

Testimonials

Having looked at so many products over a number of years, perhaps the most impressive thing about the SEQTA Suite is just how easy it is to use. Many of the screens are self-explanatory and require little or no training. While most of our teachers are very technically literate, it’s a major plus that very little professional development is required.

Anna Hu
Director of Information and Learning Technologies for both Scotch College and Presbyterian Ladies’ College

Testimonials

We had very specific needs and had been working with another company to develop a solution to meet those needs”, recalls Anna Hu, Director of Information and Learning Technologies for both Scotch College and Presbyterian Ladies’ College. “Development was slower than expected, however, and when we saw the SEQTA Suite, it quickly became obvious that SEQTA not only met our needs, but had the potential to significantly reduce teachers’ workloads.

Anna Hu
Director of Information and Learning Technologies for both Scotch College and Presbyterian Ladies’ College

Everything a teacher needs in a day

Good Shepherd

Testimonials

…The commitment you and your staff have for the ‘whole child’ is commendable. Further, the priority placed on wellbeing whilst still maintaining high levels of academic excellence guided through creativity, has created conditions in which your students are thriving.

Melesha Sands
Deputy Director General

Testimonials

Previously, we used printed documents that ultimately ended up on gathering dust on teachers’ shelves. Keeping them up to date was a never-ending task. Now I simply keep the student plans up to date on SEQTA, and as teachers mark their rolls, they can see a green dot next to the students’ names. When they click on the green dot, the student plan is displayed. SEQTA has made it easy to put up-to-the minute information in teachers’ hands about the management of students’ special needs.

Dean Shadgett
Head of Secondary at Carmel School

Testimonials

The key to successful implementation was ensuring that the work on process and procedures was done well before the implementation date. Teachers were trained and the administration staff were up-skilled well in advance of day one. SEQTA provided us with excellent support throughout – from assisting us with drafting policy through to putting a staff member on the ground during the first week of implementation. I don’t think any software implementation could be smoother.

Tony Severin
Assistant Principal

Testimonials

With the integration of the marks book, teachers can gain a greater understanding of what’s happening across the whole school, allowing teachers to see their own marks and those of colleagues so they can gain an understanding of who the student is and how they’re performing across all their subjects. The capacity to see all student’s marks and get that student snapshot of their academic achievement is powerful

Camilla Coverley
Deputy Principal – Learning and Teaching

Testimonials

In terms of what we’re looking at with pedagogy, we like to think about this in three key phases and SEQTA provides support for each of these. In the preparing for learning phase, it’s about knowing your students and being able to therefore differentiate effectively and design lessons to meet the needs of the students that are in your classroom. There are then the strategies for learning, using different approaches within the classroom and using variety in the classroom. One way SEQTA supports this is by providing the capacity to bring in blended learning to incorporate with their other practices. And the third crucial component is feedback, so the reflection on assessments, the release of feedback prior to results and those sorts of things that are really desirable in that context.

Camilla Coverley
Deputy Principal – Learning and Teaching

Testimonials

I would highly recommend SEQTA to any school wishing to improve the way that student information and learning is managed in this digital age.

James Tran
Innovation and ICT Services Coordinator, Nazareth College
